Asolo is one of the most beautiful cities in Europe, definitely worth the drive from Verona.<\/h2>\n

As wine trade members and wine professionals gear up for their trip to Vinitaly the annual wine trade fair in Verona, which begins on Sunday, many of them will take advantage of the fact that they will be in Italy to visit some of their favorite sites or to discover new ones.<\/p>\n

From Verona, you are only about an hour and a half from Venice with its canals and tiny, charming alleyways, famous restaurants, churches, and stunning views.<\/p>\n

Padua (or Padova, as it is called in Italian) is even closer. There visitors will find the famous Scrovegni chapel with the beautifully restored and maintained frescoes by medieval Italian master Giotto. Or they might have a glass of Prosecco in the gorgeous Piazza delle Erbe and Piazza della Frutta where there are classic food markets every morning.<\/p>\n

Vicenza is another city worth visiting. It’s also one of Italy’s most beautiful Renaissance cities and it is home to the Teatro Olimpico (the celebrated Olympic Theater), one of the masterworks of the Renaissance that we owe to architect Andrea Palladio.<\/p>\n

But when it comes to the works of Andrea Palladio, there is no better place to experience his legacy than Asolo, where a number of his designs can be found.<\/p>\n

But his works are just a handful of the many famous villas and palazzos that visitor enjoy in this brilliantly preserved hilltop town, which is known as the city of a 100 views because it is literally surrounded 360\u00b0 by some of the most beautiful sights in northern Italy (and Europe, for that matter).<\/p>\n

On Sunday, April 10, the Caff\u00e8 Centrale \u2014 Asolo’s main caf\u00e9, located in the center of town \u2014 will be hosting a chamber music performance featuring a small orchestra from Padua performing Vivaldi’s “Four Seasons.”<\/p>\n

Following the performance, guests will have the opportunity to mingle with the performers and they sip Bele Casel Prosecco.<\/p>\n
